Bequests

Joe and Anna have been faithful supporters of numerous charitable organizations, and they believe it is important to financially support these causes.

Joe: Several years ago, Anna and I decided the most effective way to give to our favorite causes would be to start a charitable fund at the community foundation. We think it is important to partner with them to make a difference.

Anna: We wanted to do more than to just make gifts. Joe and I have been careful over the years and have accumulated some resources. We plan to be generous with family, but we also have the ability to be generous with charity.

While we did not have the money to start a fund during our lifetime, after talking it over, we decided to leave a bequest in our will. Our attorney took the simple language available from Akron Community Foundation and included a nice bequest that will be used after we're gone to start a charitable fund in our name that will give back to the causes we care about forever. We are delighted that we will be helping others through the community foundation.
